Ex President Harrison returns to public view amid a sea of press photographers and reporters. He avoids answering questions, allowing the crowd to speak for him as he moves through the platform.
Benjamin Morelson returns to Indianapolis from Richmond where he has been tied up in the Morrison case. Reporters press him on silver or political questions but he replies he has no comment and must finish the current case before any speaking engagements. The New Jersey Historical Society plans to honor him with a medal and Harrison will be delayed by the Richmond litigation.
Weather conditions in western Oklahoma have scorched crops and harmed cattle. Continuous sunshine, high winds, and lack of rain have stunted winter wheat and spring crops across the region, with only the southern portion showing any resilience. Ranching areas report widespread crop failure and deteriorating cattle condition.
Cloudy conditions persist with rainfall expected tonight and Sunday in western areas. A southeast moving high pressure system is altering temperatures, with showers likely near Topolis and across Amarillo, Cheyenne, Lander, North Platte, Valentine, St Paul, and Belle Lewis.

The petition by durper and Broa of New York seeks to enjoin the local company from infringing their rights. Defendants have not filed a formal answer as of Monday.
President Debs of the American Railway Union will issue a circular to all local unions outlining special instructions for reorganizing the ABU. Reports from the Northwest and Pacific Slope show progress after a touring campaign. fourteen organizers have been active, with new unions forming as older ones adapt post strike. A Kansas City based entity, United States Loan and Investment Company, seeks five million in capital and filed charter papers. its directors include Orrison, North, and Porter among others.

Emporia Kansas April 27 The Emporia Woman's Christian Temperance Union endorses Rev Pearse Pinch's sermon praising the prohibitory law and urging that lawful authority must be enforceable locally. The resolution commends his courage to uphold law even against powerful figures and stresses the foundation and permanence of all law.
The Atchison reorganization committees announce engraved certificates of deposit are ready for delivery in exchange for bonds and stock deposits. When sufficient securities are deposited, application will be made to list the certificates on the stock exchange.
A special to the Star reports rain began at 4 p.m. yesterday in Goodland and continued until midnight, totaling two inches. The heavy downfall boosts wheat stands and promises crop progress, with Kansas City noting favorable outcome for spring growth.

A Guthrie reporter says W. H. Thorne president of a Lewling investment firm and C. C. Seeley contractor were arrested on murder charges in the Ledgers case. Also detained were William Knowles of police and Praux Thorpe, a porter, linked to the Englishman’s death whose body was found last September with missing thousands of dollars.
John Temple Graves of Georgia spoke at Hamilton Hall last evening. The attendance was modest, under two hundred, but the lecture was considered good. He altered his subject from Uncle Tom's Last Cabin to the Reign of the Demagogues and delivered a humorous, engaging talk.
