Survey party of the E P and S W Railway moves north of Benson to extend a line along the San Pedro valley. The plan crosses the Negalt branch of the Southern Pacific near a section house southeast of Benson depot, then runs northwest to the main SP line near a San Pedro river bridge. A depot may be built on a four to six foot high roadbed fill.

Eugene Ives head of the Democratic ticket will defend Brighton in a criminal libel case filed by James T. Williams Jr., editor of the Tucown Citizen.
