Charles Lesineky the territorys first copper producer died in New York City last Friday. He mined in the Clifton district starting in 1878 and produced Arizonas first copper matte bar from an adobe smelter. His Longfellow mine later became a steady producer for the Arizona Copper Company which bought his interests in 1882.
An Arizonan, identified as Gertikey of Tuccon, won a judgment in Chicago against the Illinois Central Railroad for damages of 2500. The suit arose from an incident at Grenada Mississippi last December when he was forcibly ejected from a train.
