E C Stegall of Los Angeles leads erection. plant to be ready by November with cement foundation walls and doors. Machinery purchased and to be shipped. plant expected to process many tons of cactus daily and employ about 300 men, mostly in the field. Aimed to be a major industrial site and the largest plant in Arizona shares corner of the town.

New Flu Cases Reported in Phoenix and Across State

Magee Pioneer Historian Dies in Ohio Home
John E. Magee longtime secretary of the Arizona Historical and Pioneers Society died September 24 at his niece Mrs. H. Dennis in Toledo Ohio. He had left Arizona in September to be with his niece after an operation and had only recently recovered enough to go out but later suffered a nonfatal automobile accident that hindered his recovery.
