Arthur Hill watchman at the San Fernando copper mine in Lower California was beaten to death in his bed. The mine buildings and much property were burned. The San Fernando, owned by Mr Brophy of the Upper Ques mine, had been active until Mexican troubles began three years ago. The murder reportedly occurred July 1 and was confirmed by investigators.
