A grim discovery near the river bank uncovered a full skeleton of a young woman with worn heel, tacks on a finger, and a unique ring. Sheriff officers reported no missing persons in the past year, while court sessions opened with Judge Leck presiding for the term.
Yesterday a large fire near the Thiel residence on Safford Street sent sparks that ignited nearby land belonging to Mrs G Thiel. Mrs Thiel and her daughters acted quickly with a garden hose, saving their home before the blaze could spread further.
