Cattlemen Propose Border Commission and War Measures
In Nogales on February 18 the Arizona Dirdrowers Association held its last session of the year. Resolutions favored deferment for cowboys under draft, official adoption of Arizona Cattlemen as the journal, suspension of the 640 acre homestead act during the war, appointing a grazing commissioner, endorsement of Forest Service work, banning further sheep trails, disapproval of loading charges, creation of a Border Committee to investigate thefts, loans on livestock securities, and thanks to Nogales officials and military.
