Unconstitutional County Classification Declared By Supreme Court
In a Supreme Court ruling the 1912 county classification law was declared unconstitutional for arbitrarily dividing counties into fourteen classes by population. The decision says county boards may set salaries within counties for offices not fixed by the 1901 act, with those overpaid needing remittance to the county. The case concerns Mohave County and assessor Frank L. Hunt who sought $200 for February to April 1915.
