San Francisco November 30 Two new sections of the state highway through the Imperial Valley between San Herpariive and Yuma Ariz will be viewed after a State Highway Commission meeting in Los Angeles Monday Commissioner Sternman reported The plan aims to align county efforts with state routing to Yuma and finalize the Southern route by backing other lines off the table The Pima and Maricopa segments are emphasized with Maricopa urged to push construction as the state builds into Yuma

Nov 10 reports confirm Corporal Mark T. Moore and Raphael Carlos Moore killed in action a few days before the German surrender. Corporal Moore was the Phoenix born grandson of Mrs. A. J. Porte and nephew of A. N. Portero Meza. Carlos was son of Mr and Mrs. ES Carson.
Grandmother Mary Siebert fights for custody of Violet now age four, basing on an order from Judge Sidney N. Reeve in Los Angeles juvenile court. The child was relinquished in Phoenix last year due to inability to support, later adopted by Frank Ramsey and wife Anna Gilbert. Sieberts’ repeated petitions have been rejected by multiple judges, with S. L. Pattee of Pima county latest.
Nine cars of horses were received at Morine yards Sunday from the Mexican government agency at Calaxica California and were shipped Tuesday to the Mexican government agency at Eagle Pass Texas. The horses are for use in Mexico.
