Julia Dancan and her husband were injured when a buggy collided with a stump after a frightened motorist swerved to avoid them two miles from town. Mrs Dancan suffered a severe head gash and possible broken limb fears were eased after examination. Mr Dancan escaped with minor bruises as the injured pair received medical aid.
Territorial administration confronts Cochise County supervisors over a 25 cent levy for territorial funding. After an opposition reduction, the board yields to reinstate the 25 cent rate, while planning further legal challenges to overturn it. A broader clash of authority looms as appeals proceed, threatening December tax collection. Meanwhile the S F P P railway completes major bridge upgrades, including a 400 foot steel viaduct at Little Hell's canyon, enhancing line capacity.

Assistant U S Attorney J C Forest stated Prescott Journal Miner that he is preparing papers to remove Cochise county resident LL Edgar to Texas. Edgar, a rangeman and livestock grower, was found guilty by a Texas grand jury of buying and shipping a diseased cow. The purchase occurred months ago and he shipped the animal to Cochise station before any charges. He is well regarded in Southern Arizona's cattle industry.
Gene Larra of Huachuca Siding reports to Cochise County Press that Lorette Carillo, a young girl, was bitten on the left thumb by a hydrophobia skunk that had entered a bed. The skunk was killed outside by the mother. The child was taken to Tucson Saturday for Pasteur treatment in Los Angeles.
The Labor Party plans a ticket for Cochise county with ten delegates to the constitutional convention. A petition will place the names on the ballot. circulation is underway in Tombstone with sufficient signatures to meet the law. The petition is to be filed with Clerk Berner of the board of supervisors this afternoon.
