Friday, Sept 3, neighbors and family celebrated Mrs Charles Schoof birthday at her home. They brought baskets of food including sandwiches coffee cake and ice cream. She received many presents such as an electric reading lamp from her children and relatives.
Mrs. Orin West suffers a dislocated knee cap as the town notes a flurry of visits and gatherings. The La Rose area reports baseball results, harvest activity, and many residents traveling to Peoria Ottawa and Windsor with church events and a band concert adding to the week’s bustle as school resumes with 16 to 18 students per class under Prof Floyd French and Beatrice French.
