Should Homemakers Ask For Credit

Ruth Seaton Hicks of Iowa State College outlined three ICs for credit: character opacity capital. In Kossuth county training schools 124 women learned that credit is a financial tool not a crutch and should aid wise investment rather than replace income. The lesson urged using credit to buy a washer or boost family income when suitable.

Silage Plan for Ewes Requires More Protein and Supplements

Iowa State College expert W F La Grange advises that sorghum silage alone does not meet ewe needs. When fed with non legume hay it requires protein rich supplements such as soybeans or linseed meal, plus limestone and common salt. If using sorghum fodder with no legume hay, add grain and protein rich feeds. Limestone and salt must be included in the ration.
