Dave Reichter a 21 year old Iowa State Animal Science senior will serve as Kossuth County extension trainee this summer. He grew up on a near Goldfield farm and will work with Dean Barnes Galen DeValois and Mrs Norma Morgan in June August. Major events include livestock judging 4H conference and camps and the Kossuth County Fair. He is jointly employed by the County Extension Council and Iowa State University Extension Service at Ames.

Iowa State economist Gene Futrell says buying feeders for summer pasture could pay for Corn Belt farmers as moisture improves and feeder prices fall.
