Feeding trial compares corn fodder types on yearling steers
A 46 head trial divided into four groups fed for 171 days compares whole corn fodder, dry corn fodder, silage and ground cor fodder. Outcomes show shrinkage, dressing percentages and selling prices differ by feed, with whole corn fodder top in value and silage delivering the highest dressing percentage. Prices lagged Chicago demand, affecting overall returns.
