Four enemies of fur and care tips from Homemaker
Miss Elizabeth Peterson, former clothing specialist at awa State College, lists four enemies of fur garments. Heat, light, moths, and friction degrade fur. exposure to sun and heat dries leather, light fades dark furs, and moths feed in heated homes. Fur should be cleaned by a professional, moth eggs brushed out, and furs dried properly. Handle wet fur with care, air and brush, hang to circulate air, avoid heat, and fasten buttons to reduce strain.
