Dunmire and Keil Visit Old Mexico on Bee Supply Trip
Ted Dunmire and Maurice Keil returned Sunday from a holiday trip into Mexico aimed at buying new stock for their bees. En route they visited former suppliers in Texas and Oklahoma towns, noted poor countryside south of San Antonio, harvested orange and grapefruit crops, and described Matamoros with no electric lights or running water. They collected tree ripened fruit, observed bull fights possible, and noted cactus used for hitching supplies.

Mrs. Olin Rode Sr. Celebrates 72nd Birthday
Mrs Olin Rode Sr marked her 72nd birthday with a family gathering of five children and their families. Born in Oldenberg Germany in 1866 she married before emigrating to America, lived in Britt and Tonka counties, and saw three of her children born in Germany before the family settled on a Tonka farm and later in town. Both of her younger children died in youth, and Mr Rode died five years ago. Neighbors and relatives wish her many more happy birthdays.
