Two New Lakota Babies Born to Local Families
Lakota welcomed two newborn boys last week. Larry Dean, nine pounds seven ounces, born Wednesday to Herman and Mrs. Weringa. Terry Lee, seven pounds twelve ounces, born to Donald and Mrs. Kollasch, former Mabel Roelfzema. This is the Kollasch couple’s first child. Local families also enjoyed a Sunday picnic at Min-Waukon State Park near Spirit Lake with the Smith and Heetland families. Carl Gerzema and family spent Saturday night with cottage friends on East Okoboji, then toured lakeside sites Sunday. Bernadine Gerzema joined Faustine Heetland for a visit to Clear Lake. Mrs. Beemer and Billie left Algona for New York City to stay a month with Mrs. Beemer’s sister and her father, Mr. Booker, summering there. Mrs. J H Warburton hosted Acorn Club members at a social last Wednesday.
