Restaurant Interlude and Wartime Editorial Commentary
A fragmented comic dialogue on ordering from yesterday today or tomorrow's menu ends with a brief wartime digression and a change in line up featuring a Nuremberg stadium turned baseba ll field by GI Joes. The piece blends a humorous cafe scene with a harsh war era political verse referencing Hitler and a postwar critique including a note about surplus planes and President Truman urging auto owners to nurse their cars along.
