Proven Feed Plan Boosts Hog Finishing Efficiency
A 45 percent pre mix helps average hog raisers finish pigs from 100 pounds to market weight using their corn oats and pasture. Finishing rations cost about 50 to 55 dollars per ton including grain value, with cash outlay around 10 to 12 dollars per ton. The pre mix balances up to 20 pounds of grain, yielding rapid gains and low feed costs. Swine reached 200 pounds in about five and a half months.
