Kindergarten Classes Expanded For 33 Enrollees

Enrollment of 33 children leads to two kindergarten classes. A morning class of 15 meets 9 30 to 11 30 and an afternoon class of 18 meets 1 15 to 3 15. Enrollment was held last Monday with regular classes starting Tuesday. Mrs Donald Sippel is the teacher.

Graduation of 13 nurses at Dixon Public Hospital

Mrs Vernon Wiersema of Morrison and former Jeanette Carroll of Thomson were among 13 graduates from Katherine Shaw Bethea School of Nursing at Dixon Public Hospital. The commencement was held yesterday evening in the Dixon Methodist church. Mrs Wiersema is the daughter of Mrs Glen Williams of Thomson and a York Community High School graduate.

Noted Doctor To Speak At P T A Meeting

The Thomson Parent-Teachers Association opens its year with a meeting in the school cafeteria on Friday September 14 at 7 30 PM. Dr Franklin R Fitch associate medical director of clinics Northwestern University Medical School Evanston Illinois will discuss Sex Education That Makes Sense and present Human Growth followed by a Q A. Dr Fitch has long worked in social hygiene education and served in World War II. SOS Day Vaccination Effort By PTA And Thomson Club

The P T A and Thomson Woman's Club sponsor SOS Day on Sunday September 30 at the school cafeteria from 11 AM to 7 PM. Sabin Oral vaccine given on a lump of sugar for ages 3 months to 103 years with second and third doses on November 4 and December 16. Mrs. C. P. Hendricks Dies in Florida Hospital

Mrs. Viola Hendricks of Auburndale Florida formerly of Fulton died Saturday night in a Winter Haven hospital. Funeral services were planned for Tuesday at ten, burial in Auburndale. She was born in Rock Falls Illinois and survived by her husband Dr. C. P. Hendricks a son Richard of Orlando a daughter Lt Col Lelia Hendricks of Ft Jackson and a sister Mrs Frank Haskell of Garden Grove California.
