Isabel Babson and the Legacy of Heredity in 17th Century Cape Ann
Babson argues heredity shapes life but cannot pinpoint any single ancestor. She recounts Isabel Babson’s 1637 voyage to Salem, Cape Ann, and Gloucester, her roles as healer and nurse, and the 300th anniversary memorial at 69 Main Street. She links ancestry to pregnancy nine months before birth and notes European Common Market unity requires shared vision and cooperation.
