Warrants issued for three Clinton Iowa men a Clinton woman and a Thomson Illinois man in connection with robberies at McKee Lumber Company Krahn Motors and Diehl Oil Company. Deloris Diettrick of Clinton Iowa held on burglary charges with $4000 bond. Evidence includes cashed checks from firm accounts and a stolen Krahn Motors safe found near Fulton Illinois. Authorities named a nationwide pickup order for the Thomson suspect and Clinton woman.

Carroll County Baseball League Elects Officers
The Carroll County Baseball League held its year end meeting on Thursday in Thomson. Officers for 1970 were elected: Herbert St. Ores Jr of Thomson as president, Rollie Farrell Morrison as vice president, and Robert Larson of Mount Carroll as secretary-treasurer. Final 1969 standings list Pee Wee Mount Carroll first, Chadwick second, Thomson third, with Small Fry, Milledgeville, and Savanna also noted in various divisions. 1969 tournament winners included Pee Wee Chadwick Thomson Mount Carroll Small Fry Chadwick Thomson Milledgeville Junior Chadwick Thomson Milledgeville Senior Morrison I Thomson Morrison II. Reunion Highlight Of Hillsboro High Class Of 1939
Mr and Mrs Lloyd Bruckner attended a 30 year interim reunion of Mrs Bruckners Hillsboro high school class of 1939 held Saturday at the Valley Inn Elroy Wisconsin. Of 42 original graduates two had died and twenty two were present to reminisce and toast the years.

Trailer Court to Install Sewer Works Planned
The Thomson Village board met in regular session with President Shutters and Trustees present. They approved minutes and bills, reviewed a state water plant inspection, and learned fluoridation must be done by January 3 with a reduced equipment cost. Duff will install a lift station at his trailer court with village rental at 3 dollars per trailer, sewer charges of 6.50, and eventual ownership by the village after reimbursement. The sewer line will be extended to Duff’s property line. The Woman's Club was granted permission to place redwood flower pots on Main Street. The board did not act on re-employing Virgil MacDonald after a special session.

Youth Baseball League States Annual Supper
The Thomson Youth Baseball League will hold its annual potluck supper Friday evening September 12 at 6 30 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Families should bring enough food for themselves and uniforms must be turned in with seams sewn pockets and belt loops intact and buttons. Mothers should wash but not iron uniforms as they will be stored in boxes. League patches will be presented to Pee Wee and Small Fry teams with second place honors and Junior Senior second place in their divisions.
