Kenyons Return From East Amid Local Social Notes

Daisy Sylvalema and Maurice Bol hous attended the Jacob Sikke ma family in Fulton for Labor Day in Davenort. Sylvia Griswold returned home after several days with the John Singer family in Morrison. Will Griswold Estella Griswold and Nettie Baker spent Saturday in Galesburg with Henry Singer. George Lenders hosted a Thursday evening party for relatives from Clinton and Andover for a birthday. Martin Krarver and Peter Rush of Chicago visited Sunday with Dele Mayden at the Fred Seim home. Bray-sor ler reported an uncle of Mrs Harvey Seim from Smetch Center Kansas plans to visit Macomb for Roberta and Rob Lewis admissions at State Teachers College. Residents note storm wind and a near winter forecast that passed without incident.

September PTA Meeting in High School Gym

The September PTA meeting will be in the high school gym on Friday evening September 15. A special program features John Hanna State High School Supervisor arriving from Springfield to address the community. Music, dramatic numbers, a social reception, and refreshments follow, with a tour of the renovated high school and library additions.

Eli H. Hawk Laid To Rest Last Monday

Funeral services for Eli H. Hawk, brother of William Hawk, were held Monday afternoon in Clinton. Beil was the speaker. Interment was in Fulton. Born May 24, 1856 near Duver, Fayette County, Pa., he lived with his parents in Fairhaven township, Carroll County, Til, since 1869. He married Dorothy E. Teimnan on Sept. 23, 1882. Surviving are his wife, seven sons and two daughters including Martin D. Hawk, Wilsie G. Hawk, Lawrence K., Harry T., Glen L., James A. Hawk of Clinton, Rev. Mortimer A. Hawk of Flagstaff, Jane, Mrs. Ebi Morrow of Clinton, and Mrs. Winnifred Nelson of Minneapolis. A brother William Hawk of Thomson and sister Susan Ridenour of Fulton also survive.

Church Homecoming Service Marks 40th Anniversary

Morning service at 9 30. The Altar and Rosary Society meets this afternoon with Miss Mary Connell as hostess. Sunday School 10. Homecoming for all former members and friends set for Sunday September 24 all day at the church with a picnic lunch at noon. The church was built forty years ago and invites all to attend.
