Rites for Wesley Martindale to be Friday, interment at Peak City. Dorothy Herze, daughter of Mr and Mrs Adam Seanne, united on Saturday. The couple were attended by Lyle Ashby and Miss Jom Mevine. They honeymooned in Rockford and will reside in the Gardner home in Thomson. Mrs. Ashby is known in the county and a Savanna township graduate. Local friends hosted a charivari party Tuesday.

Duck hunting began Sunday at noon but yielded few successes as northern ducks have not yet arrived and most kills were local. Lakes are nearly dry with water only at three spots Don Hall Claire Holman and Tony Miles. Sloughs and the river provide most hunting with many hunters taking one or two ducks though Claire Holman reportedly bagged ten the largest so far. A good rain could refill lakes and improve chances.
The English class studies essays while Lain I prepares for a Thursday test. Lucille Griswold, recovering from appendicitis, has been absent.
