Construction nears completion on Lanark's new cold storage locker plant east of Main Street. The one story tile building measures about 20 by 45 feet and will house nearly 500 lockers with a sharp freez e room a cutting room and an office. Insulation uses cork six to nine inches and the floor is two concrete layers. Locker numbers may be adjusted as demand dictates. George Lang of Chadwick will manage meat processing while actual killing will be done by patrons elsewhere. This is Carroll county's first full cold storage plant with storage only at Fair Haven existing earlier.
