Auto Crash Near Polo Injures Lanark Woman
Mrs. F. L. Gigeous of Lanark sustained a fractured left hip when a car driven by her husband struck two parked vehicles on a side road off Route 26 north of Polo. She was hospitalized in Dixon. J. J. Sheridan York township supervisor and Fred Kaney Forset on contractor were injured near the Milwaukee railroad viaduct curve at Savanna. Kaney suffered a fractured knee and bruises and was taken to a Freeport hospital. Sheridan had a forehead cut and bruises. both cars suffered heavy front-end damage as wet viaduct floors contributed to the collision on Route 80 just north of the viaduct.

Fire at the east edge of Mt Carroll destroyed a one room tourist cabin at noon Monday. Damage estimated at 400 dollars.
