Stompin Joe the bronco tale from Fort Lupton rider
An extended reminiscence recounts a rough and humorous rodeo style episode with Stompin Joe. Alvie Keltner and companions plan to harness and saddle a wild bronco, saddle breaks, and they improvise, debating sale, outsized bets, and a curious tale of 218 cannots and wild rumors spreading through towns from DeWitt to Miles City. The writer also notes a wish to reassure a friend about his safety and letters.
