Injured youth found near South Sioux City sheds
A 19 year old named Martin Santee of South Sioux City Neb was found badly hurt in a hay shed one mile south of town by E C Pratt. He had a cut ear, a crushed shoulder, gashes and possible brain injury. He was taken to town and then to County Farm Mt Carroll for care. Evidence suggests he fell from a Milwaukee freight train near the tracks after riding the bumpers. He wore clean clothes and carried letters from his family. Local residents aided him and hope for his recovery.
