Will H Sheridan of Fulton Died On Tuesday
Will H Sheridan of Fulton died Tuesday evening after a long illness brought on by flu and overwork. He was a Burlington station agent at Patton for 26 years. Funeral services will be Friday at 9:30 from Immaculate Conception Church, Fulton, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. He was born January 2 1876 on the Sheridan farm northeast of Thames and aged 51 years 4 months 13 days. Survived by widow Rose Folliard and four children Dominic Roberta Joseph Rosemary (deceased). six brothers Frank James Mike Tom Andrew Mart. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Mrs Hazel Holding and daughter of Janesville, Wis., visiting in Fulton.

Three Mathew Bros. Dredging cabins were moved from the lake’s upper end to the site of the former John Gleason house. They will house ditching workers for the Sunfish lake drainage effort. Frank Brown moved them with his threshing engine. C W Groharing, Northwestern Illinois Utilities manager, received a new International three fourths ton truck. his old one goes to Lanark. Mr and Mrs Will Strubb and daughter Lena visited Mike Dundee’s Rock Island home.

Martin Morgan, long known around Sandridge, died Tuesday at the County Home. A resident with Mr. and Mrs. William Mitchell, he was famed as a baseball fan and a familiar town character. Suffering heart trouble and dropsy, he had been at the county farm a week prior to his death, doctors stating there was little to be done.

The Biology Class took a field trip on Tuesday morning. The Sophomore Class enjoyed a party at the bluffs last Wednesday. Six weeks exams are May 24 and 25 and the Senior Class Play at the Opera House May 18 and 19. it should be Thomson’s best yet. Many are out with measles. three weeks remain, then graduation week. Freshmen plan a trip to the bluffs Tuesday. Mr Esnutt goes to Fulton Tuesday night to address the PTA on does our school system meet community needs. Seniors with completed work by May 25 skip the last week. Seniors choose a Class Historian Beulah Orcuit and a Class Prophet George Lohmeir. Prof Waggoner PhD will speak June 4, and Rev Duvall to give the Baccalaureate Sermon on June 3 at the Methodist church.

York's Oldest Lady Resident Dies in York Township
Dorcas St Ores, aged longest resident of York township, died Wednesday at noon after months of illness. Funeral set for Saturday at 1:30 from the house and 2:00 at the Christian church with Rev. E. P. Schaich officiating. Her four sons cared for her. she had lived in the community for many years.
