George Nettleton 74, longtime Argo Fa Savanna native, died at 4:30 am Monday at his Rock Island residence after ill health since February. Survived by brothers Charles and William of Savanna, sisters Mrs Mary Berthelt of Kaсanna and Mrs Cha Hehnadel of Chadwick, with Ralph his son deceased. Funeral services held Wednesday afternoon in Rock Island.
Frances Shimer Glee Club presents Hiawatha's Wedding Feast on Sunday evening May 37 at T238. Madame Leow will lead the performance with Miss Wilson soprano singing Onaway Awake Beloved as the cantata climax. The program includes English influence and regional audience invitations.
