The Thomson Grade School in Savanna receives a first payment of 2135 dollars as part of U S Government Special Aid for children of Savanna Ordnance Depot employees. Principal Ray Morelli says the total 3000 dollar aid will be completed by year end and is based on average daily attendance. The aid supports the Thomson School district operation.

Youth Problems To Be Discussed At PTA Meeting

Farmer Injured in Tractor Auto Accident Near Thomson
Louis Mickelson a farmer living five miles south of Thomson was rushed to Savannah Hospital around noon after a crash on Route 80 south of Thomson involving his farm tractor two cars and a semi truck. He suffers a broken leg and broken shoulder with other injuries unknown. An unidentified female passenger also was taken to Savannah Hospital with injuries not yet specified. Authorities cleaned up fuel spilled on the highway and full details were not available at press time.
