Five cookie kinds sell for 50 cents a box with 10 cents per box staying in the troop treasury for camping trips registrations and other projects. They won the Thomson Holiday Tournament Carroll County Conference Tournament and the District Tournament. They share first place in Carroll County standings with Chadwick Lanark Milledgeville.

Girl Scout Leaders Attend Recruitment Institute
Mrs Miller and Mrs Petersen attended an all day Recruitment Institute in Freeport to learn improved methods for recruiting and guiding volunteers. Miss Nan Romie, National Staff adviser for the four state region, spoke and recalled past work with Mrs Miller. Plans discussed include summer Day Camp July 25 to 29, a two night encampment in June, forming a new Cadette Neigh borhood troop and a Green Hills Council meeting March 19 to discuss a new troop house at Camp Woodlow near Sterling.

John D. Demaree, son of Glen and Mrs. Demaree, earned a PhD in Business Administration from Michigan State University in 1964 and became an associate professor at the University of Colorado.
