Annie Millikan Synopsis of a Western Novel
Foreword shows a ranch party in Arizona where a steer attack tests a cowhand’s skill. Clay Lindsay, an Arizona range rider, travels to New York and meets Kitty Mason, an aspiring actress targeted by Jerry Durand. Lindsay knocks Durand from a train, defends Kitty, and crosses paths with Beatrice Whitford who shelters him. Lindsay and Kitty clash with danger as he exposes Durand’s cruelty and enters high society life with Beatrice, while his ranch partner Johnnie Green arrives in the big town and Kitty seeks rescue from trouble at a cabaret hideaway.
