Rawlins' To Take 5000 Mile Western Trip

Mr and Mrs Herbert L Rawlins plan a 45 day western trip starting July 6 over Burlington and Pacific lines covering over 5000 miles. They will visit Thomson friends from Savanna to Yellowstone Spokane Pullman Coeur d Alene Mabton Sunnyside Granger Seattle Vancouver Portland San Francisco Ripon Los Angeles Denver Fort Collins Julesburg Kimball Omaha and Galesburg with many family and old acquaintances. Herb will write letters about the journey for the Review.

Kadel Players Shine In Across the Street Chautauqua

The Kadel Players led by Carlton Kadel presented Across the Street as the Thomson Chautauqua finale. The troupe, with one member absent, previously staged the same play on the Rocky Mountain Five Circuit last summer. Key players include Miss Lottie Mae Humbert and Miss Graham, both veterans of multiple seasons, with ties to the Misner School of Fine Arts in Omaha and the Booth Lyceum Bureau.

Children's Day exercises at the M E church praised for suitability last week but hindered by weather. They will be repeated this Sunday June 27 with a program including open chorus responsive reading recitations solos songs dialogues and choir performances by familiar local children and families.

Chautauqua Contract Signed for 1927 Season

Miss Green in charge reports a 1927 Chautauqua contract secured with 42 guarantors and 32 backers. Local boosters aim for 50 names to boost interest and share any deficit. Projected deficit this year is $3.10.
