Prisoner Held To Grand Jury Flees Captured
Fred Grabow, 50, of Savanna, bound over to Carroll county grand jury for indecent liberties. He escaped from the State's Attorney's office during a hearing before Justice W. G. Kent, then was captured at the Milwaukee roundhouse by J. Brearton and Joe Schmeig and returned to county jail. Mr. and Mrs. John Derver of Carroll spent Sunday with relatives in the area.

A district meeting of the American Legion and the Legion Auxiliary will be held in Mt Carroll next Sunday afternoon June 6. A joint opening session will be held in the high school auditorium after which Legion members will go to the courthouse for their session while Auxiliary members meet in the schoolhouse. June Tire Quota Leaves Applicants Waiting for Permits
