Burlington System Plans Helicopter Routes in Midwest
The Chicago, Burlington and Quincy railroad system seeks Civil Aeronautics Administration approval to operate helicopter routes linking 67 cities from Chicago to Denver and smaller towns in Illinois Iowa and Missouri. Burlington Trailways says helicopters could land on railroad or bus sites, carry seven passengers plus pilot, and break even at about 6.1 cents per mile.
