Court arrest, bond set for deserter Glen Reglin in Lanark area

Glen Reglin, 28, Rock Falls, was placed in county jail on a $500 bond after his arrest on a charge of deserting his wife and child in Lanark. Deputy Harry Miller bound him over to the grand jury at a hearing before Justice Frank Schroeppel of the Carroll County court.

Family updates as Paul Lewis returns from California

Mr and Mrs Hale Pieper reunite with their granddaughter in Burbank as Paul Lewis comes back from a five week stay. The couple had traveled to California December 31 1936 due to their daughter's serious illness, taking a plane from Chicago. Mr Lewis remained away a week. Mrs Lewis says their daughter is much improved.
