Shipping Association Carload Stock to Chicago

Shipping association shipped a carload of stock to Cochran Henery and Wallace Co. in Chicago on Wednesday. Stockholders listed include Lloyd Smith, Smith & Shoemaker with 25 steers and heifers, Edson Holland with 3 bull, Frank Smith with 4 calves. Lloyd and Frank Smith accompanied the stock to Chicago. The association also received tar of mixed feed and 5 tons of tankage this week.

Thomson boys swept Mt. Carroll in three tightly contested games. In the opener Thomson led early, then held on as Carroll rallied, with Cooper and McNainte keying a late surge. The second game saw Thomson pull away in the final period as Cooper and McNainte fueled a decisive stretch. In the finale Thomson outplayed Carroll through three quarters, then withstand a late surge before securing the win in overtime.
