Three Cars In Collision At Savanna Friday
Ten people were slightly bruised but no serious injuries were reported after three cars collided at the Chicago avenue and Pike street intersection in Savanna Friday afternoon. Drivers were Miss Louise Lewis of Thomson, Corp Marion Cross of Savanna, and Frank Roberts of Savanna. Roberts swerved to avoid a curbside backing vehicle and struck Cross head on, with Lewis rear ending Cross.

Captain Shaler Transferred From Savannah to New Jersey
Captain Harrison Shaler of the Savannah ordnance depot left on Monday for Fredericktown New Jersey in compliance with orders transferring him to the Delaware ordnance depot near that city. The transfer follows the illness of the commanding officer and the sudden death of the second in command at Fredericktown. Shaler has served at Savannah ordnance depot for two and a half years, after coming from Picatinny arsenal in New Jersey.

Three extra clerks will be on duty in the county clerk office for several weeks to handle the yearly task of extending taxes for 1939.
