Maurice Guenzler Lanark spoke about the National 4 H Congress trip and awards were given with certificates and medals. Harold Jepson district 4 H supervisor led the meeting. games and lunch followed.

Carroll county teachers will attend the 87th Illinois Education Association meeting in Springfield December 26 to 28 as official delegates. Dike Extension Prompts Drainage Of Pools 13 And 14
Rock Island district engineer orders draining Pool 13 and Pool 14 this month to extend the dike above Lock and Dam No 13 in the Mississippi River. The move follows prior plans to keep pools near normal levels. wind-driven towboats had foundered near the dam. Draining Pool 14 began mid last week and Pool 13 lowering will start after Pool 14 levels drop.
