County Deaths Miss Minnie Encelhing 68 at farm home
Miss Minnie Encelhing, 68, a county resident and coed, died at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Victor Dauphin farm home five miles east of Savanna. Funeral services were held Monday at Law funeral home after a short prayer at the Dauphin home. The Rev. Karl Kamniger of Polo officiated. Burial was in Savanna cemetery. Surviving relatives include an aunt, Mrs. Sophia Warmer of Wacker.

The American Legion post in Mt Carroll received a silver cup as second place for the oldest automobile at the national contention in St Louis last summer. The car, a 1944 Studebaker, is owned by William Miller of Woodland township and has logged over 200000 miles. Miller, member of the Carroll Le Riot post, drove it to the contest.
