Divorce Granted in Carroll County Circuit Court

A divorce was granted Tuesday in Carroll county circuit court to Marvin Stiles from Loretta Stiles, both of Savanna. November grand jury was recalled Tuesday to consider evidence given by State's Atty. J. L. Brearton. The jurors did not complete work that day and returned on Wednesday.

88 Cent Loan on 1943 Corn Available in Carroll County

Corn loans for the 1943 crop are available to eligible Carroll County producers at 8&8 cents per bushel. Producers must have reached 90 percent of their war crop goal in 1943 to qualify, with ear corn loans through June 30 1944 and shelled corn loans from June 1 to June 30 1944. Loans carry 8 percent interest and mature on demand or by October 1 1944. Eligibility requires moisture below 20.5 percent and a one cent per bushel service fee for farm storage loans.
