Relatives in this locality received word this week of the death of Mrs. William Legal near Cedar Rapids Iowa on December 4th at the Iowa City University hospital. Death followed an operation for appendicitis. Neva Poorman Lewal born March 21, 1912, daughter of Ed and Jennie Poorman, spent most of her life in the area. She married William Segal in 1929 and they lived in Iowa where Mr. Legal was employed on a farm. Survived by her husband and a three year old daughter Jean, her father Ed Poorman of Okinton, a sister Lucile of Chicago, and four brothers Ed and Marion of Savanna and Lee and Ben of Chicago. Funeral services and interment were at Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The Eastern Star chapter meets tonight for a pot luck supper followed by the annual election of officers. Royal neighbors will meet Tuesday December 19 at 1 30 for the annual election of officers. The Mains will meet Tuesday December 19 for their annual election of officers with refreshments served.

Mrs Allie Mills longtime Argo resident died after years of illness at her Savanna home. Born July 25 1883 she was the daughter of Charles I and Anna Baker Nipe. She married Alvin Mills in December 1905 and had two children Grace and Harold who died in infancy. Surviving are her husband daughter and son in law Clarence Offerman of Houston Texas father Charles Nipe Argo sisters Harve Dety and Max Fulton Mt Carroll and several grandchildren. Funeral Thursday included Savanna home services then 2 50 pm at Methediss church with burial at York cemetery.
Orville Kenyon died in Garner Ta from an infected thumb injury. Fred Kenyon of Argofa notified relatives. funeral and interment took place in Garner on December 9. Surviving brothers include Fred Casper William Seth and sister Lary Rhodes. others preceded him in death.
The Consolidated Grade School will present a program on Thursday at o o'clock in the FC Wes. Featured acts include First and Second grades The Naughty Boys and Christmas customs from Other Lands. Fifth grade The Spirit of Christmas and Skating Pence. Seventh grade performances include My and Mr. Earl Mentor visit Wichita.
