McGinty, who once ran the Sirhamson meat market, has purchased the Thomson Meat Market and took possession last week. The former owner, Vern Mort, may remain in the village and thanks patrons as Mrs. McGinty pledges to maintain the high quality and standards of the shop.

The Village Board met in regular session with ER K Fuller presiding. Members Carpenter Sheridan Schade and Smith attended. French was absent. Bills totaling 468.09 were read and referred to Finance. a tax levy ordinance was accepted by four yeas. The board authorized Alfred St Or es to paint village hall and related buildings. Meeting adjourned.

Annual Statement of Township 23 3 4 Carroll County Illinois 1927

The annual financial statement for Township No 23 Range 3 and 4 Carroll County Illinois covers June 30 1926 to June 30 1927. It lists receipts including a township fund balance of 27 17 from beginning and 3079 10 from the county superintendent plus 302 75 interest and other items. Expenditures include teachers salaries pension fund repairs books and supplies and utilities.
