Thomson Melon Growers Seek Central Market Association

Melon growers met at the G gym to form a Thomson Melon Growers Association aimed at creating a central market for cantaloupes and watermelons. The plan calls for a central point in Thomson, two shipping areas, daily settlements, and contracts from growers totaling 590 acres.
