Plan Reception For New Pastor In Nasonville Parish

Sheridan Receives Route 80 Survey Notice From State

Supervisor James J Sheridan, as Carroll County board chair, received a letter from Colonel Miller of the Illinois State Highway Department outlining surveys for Route 80 between Savanna and Fulton. Eddie Anderson Dies at Soldier's Home in Milwaukee

Frank Anderson reports Eddie Anderson died this morning at the National Soldier's Home in Milwaukee Wisconsin after a long lung illness. Eddie, raised in Thomson, left for Freeport around age twenty and served in the army. His death is attributed to his service related health decline. Funeral services are expected in Milwaukee. Also note Methodist Sunday School bake sale this Saturday at McGinty Meat Market starting at ten in the morning offering pies cakes and pastries.

The gymnasium issue carried by a two to one vote and the board will pursue bonds to pay off debt. Eight yearly payments of 1000 dollars start after construction of the new high school addition to increase capacity. No bids yet but work is expected to begin soon.
