Members of the Ideal Farmers Club gathered at the Ideal church for a well received monthly meeting led by President Adam Heinze. The program included prayers, music by the Thomson Male Quartet, and talks by Prof. Demaree, with a May meeting election of officers announced. A second notice announced a public YH Alumni Association meeting at the high school on May 1 at 7 30 p m with Philip Switzer as president.
Mary Strauch begins teaching at Ferrin school for the coming year at 45 dollars monthly. She resides in the same district. Mrs Ilva Turney signs for another year at Ideal school earning 69 dollars per month. Miss Clara Gerex of Chadwick will return to Parkhill at 60 dollars per month for six months.
O W Hockett returns home from Florida where he reports a weak fruit market with oranges at 30 cents a crate and grapefruits nearly worthless. He notes thousands of unemployed hitchhikers, limited work for men, and a road work scheme paying one dollar daily. He and a companion briefly visited Chicago on a business trip.

Mr and Mrs Cicde Gro of Merison announce the birth of a son on Wednesday April 26 at Jane Jam Hospital Gilnea.
The Rev Reicle of Caneseo will preach at 11 o clock at the church. The Aid Society announces an all day meeting next Thursday May 4 with Mrs Lloyd Smith. They note jelly is for sale at Mrs Frank Smiths home at 4d packages for 25 cents and invite anyone wishing jello to call Mrs Smith.

The church offers 10:00 Sunday school 11:00 morning worship and 7:30 evening service. The subject for morning worship is The Christian Memorial and Prodigal Sons will be discussed at the evening hour. A Weiner roast for all the young people is planned next Wednesday at 7:40 pm with transport arranged. Choir practice tonight at the Grahays home.

Home Economics club program at the Avro M. KE Church parlor Friday May 5 includes devotional, readings, music, and talks. Members are asked to bring a shrub or perennial for church grounds. hostesses listed. April program acts held over for May.
The Bth grade of the Consolidated school will present several short sketches on May 12. The program promises variety and interest. Plan to attend and enjoy the student effort.
Mrs Bayard Lewis entertained a card party Tuesday afternoon at her home with guests including Mrs Will Clinton Mrs Will Graves and Mrs John Grandy from Savanna, and Mrs Madge Bowford. Royal Neighbors plan a May 2 Mothers Day meeting with a picnic dinner and a Mothers Day program in the afternoon led by Mrs Cora Stickell chair and others.
Mrs. Frank Brown Jr. was pleasantly surprised on her birthday Monday as Savanna friends visited for the day with a delicious basket dinner. Those present included Mrs. Homer Kuoapp, Joe Taylor, Frank Lease and J. Moore.
W A Fisher of Shannon won the chairmanship of Carroll County Board of Supervisors at Mt. Carroll with 8 votes to 7 over Robert Carson. Other new members Bloyer and Kingery attended. the board discussed bank and tax payment issues and considered extending the tax penalty date to June 15 1933.
The May Parent Teachers meeting will be at York Community gym on Thursday evening May 4. A fine program is planned with performances by pupils from Sandrage school and readings by local residents. Officers will be elected. current officers include President Rush W. Carroll and Vice President Alice Switz.

Beatrice Brockill hosted a sewing club gathering after school on Tuesday. The group of girls showed strong interest and progress in their work while some mothers joined to consult instructor Mrs. Ernel Ler.
Wayland F Cap Sweet, longtime blacksmith and local figure, died of a stroke on April 15 in Hollywood California. He was about 64, previously lived in Dakota and later in Hell, Nebraska. Survived by a daughter Myra, three sisters, and six children. Funeral details to be announced in next week’s Review.
A Sunday practice and try-out drew about 30 players and many spectators as Northwestern Abnes eyes a league opening. A Fulton league team visit is planned for Sunday with admission charged. manager Hartman to meet other league managers tonight to finalize the season schedule and lineup. Savanna high school topped the county literary contest at Milledgeville with 34 points, Milledgeville a close second at 29, Lanark and Chadwick scoring two to six points. Winners include Irene Téeis, William Rienour, and Betty Pate with additional placings for Shan non and Savanna, amid notes on staff and attendance.
