A Thomasville meeting endorses a regional plan to curb cotton acreage and boost the buy a bale campaign. Farmers, bankers, and merchants pledge cooperation to raise hog and ham meat production, with a focus on cooperative district sales and shared prosperity.
The Thomasville Times Enterprise lauds Mr. Felder as a Bible champion of progressive democracy while noting it doubts he would accept a federal judgeship. The News found no promises or incentives offered to him during his campaign, and-while the paper praised him- Felder’s retirement from the race was not used as a bargaining tool.

The Parrish Bicycle Company shop was broken into last week through a back window. Thieves shattered glass and a large cash register, took razor blades knives pistols and other items, and removed records of accounts. Loss estimated at about 175 dollars in merchandise plus the cash register. no clues on suspects.

The City Court met yesterday at ten to hear jail cases. Luke Johnson Julius, C00 722, and George Williams pleaded guilty. Will Reed was convicted of stealing five dollars from Will Tripp. John Thompson was found not guilty of stealing a ride on a freight train. Mr. McMichael pleaded insanity after a draft cashed in Boston. he will be sent to the asylum. Court to adjourn today. appearance docket next Monday. Civil docket carried to December term due to farm duties.
Two Black residents clashed over land across the river in Barnett neighborhood Sunday. Will Johnson was struck three times by Eugene Brown. the injured man survived and is expected to recover. The other assailant remains at large per report.
A Ford belonging to Mr. Rice wrecked early Sunday near Death Curve as the car plunged into an embankment. Three men Teale Adams and Morris were thrown out, Adams and Morris through the windshield with several cuts. They were taken to City Hospital for treatment and will recover with no serious injuries. The car was almost a complete wreck.
The notice lists tax collection for the state and county scheduled at various court locations during October. It names Metcalfe Hostge and Thomasville for the Superior Court term with dates from October 6 to October 16 and includes towns such as Meigs Pavo Ochlocknee Patten Boston Ellabelle Merrillville Barwick among others.
