Americans Attack St Mihiel Salient In Lorraine Front

Troopship Torpedoed Off English Coast Beached to Save It
A troopship carrying twenty eight hundred American soldiers was torpedoed about three o clock last Friday off the English coast. All on board were saved and the vessel beached to protect those aboard. The ship lagged behind its convoy due to engine trouble and the torpedo attack caused no injuries among the Americans. Most troops were from Chicago and Cleveland with many of foreign extraction.
