Mrs Dena Hawkins and Walter C Snodgrass wed at the Hawkins home on Remington avenue in Thomasville Tuesday afternoon with only relatives present Rev J P Wardlaw officiating. The couple reside on Remington avenue and received many gifts. The Thomasville bar honored the groom. County court convened with brisk activity on Wednesday. White defendant Wm B Pittman was tried for concealed weapons and found not guilty. Two Black defendants Sumter Harris and Vassar Washington were convicted under the new Calum vagrancy law for $40 and $20 plus costs respectively. Frank Stafford, accused of rastation, escaped due to minority. Peter Horton and John Barnes received eight months and $35 and $40 plus costs respectively. Lee Neel returned from New York where he advanced Thomasville business interests.

Little Callie Verse Gandy Passes At Age Five
Caroline Verlande Callie Verse Gandy, eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Gandy, died Wednesday at 2:30 AM aged five years four months after a week of illness. Burial followed at Tautrell Hill Cemetery at 5 PM with services led by Rev. Alexander Bealer and Rev. J. H. Logan. A large affectionate attendance shared the family’s grief.
